STAY TUNED FOR MORE TO COME!

Life UPDATE!! - England Living

I know the big question has been, "Where have you been?" And I know many have asked when will I be back on YouTube, what have I been up to, and how's England? Well, I will finally answer those questions, now that I feel like I'm in a good position to answer them.

First things first: Where have I been?

Well, there are a few reasons for my absence:

  1. The first is that my life has completely changed. I moved from the U.S. to the U.K., and you can imagine how much work that is to uproot your life and move it (to a different country at that!).

  2. Also, I'm now fully submerged in this Air Force Life, whereas before I only dabbled int the life when I'd see Josh in tech school. Now it's full-on, unavoidable Air Force all day, everyday basically.

  3. On top of that, we are "putting our home together", getting furniture, decorations, you know how that goes.

  4. In addition to that, we have a puppy... which is almost like having a newborn... so I'll leave it at that.

  5. I have a job (I didn't plan on working this soon, but I wanted the extra money).

  6. I have a social life (which may sound sarcastic, but having a social life is VITAL to surviving an overseas assignment in the military. Without friends here, you'll go crazy).

  7. And to top it all off, I'm in the process of becoming a Key Spouse for my husband's squadron (to help the wives/families in that unit), but that's a story for another day.

So I hope that answered the question of where I've been and why I've been gone. My life is busier now than it probably has ever been. I feel like I have a lot going for me at the moment. Not to mention, I'm adjusting to life as a wife. So that means cooking, cleaning, taking care of the puppy, running errands, grocery shopping, etc. (and to my mom, if you're reading this, YES I really am cooking regularly and cleaning all the time... you're not dreaming. This is not a drill).

When will I be back on YouTube?

By the time you read this, I should either have a video posted or being in the process of being posted. I hope to work on a posting schedule so I can have regular videos out for you all. Bare with me, please! By the end of the year, I intend to have regular videos being posted (daily vlogs, maybe?). Oh! Speaking of the end of the year, my sisters will make a special appearance here in England for the holidays! Sooooo, that means New Year's London vlog!!! I'm sooooo excited to spend New Year's Eve and Day in London. We will also be traveling around a lot during the time they are here with me, so stay tnued for extra special vlogs. We will be making some super amazing videos and memories for you all to share with us. Ok, enough about the holidays...

How am I liking England?

I am loving England! I expected to be homesick, but I'm not! The people are nice (at first, it felt like people were staring at us, but I'm sure we were just being paranoid... well, maybe not because people still sometimes stare at us, but I mean we're in an area where there are many other Americans, so I'm sure that can't be the reason. But once we got past the initial "newbie" feeling (although we're still very new), we really were able to enjoy being here.

It almost feels like home. Besides the fact that our families aren't here with us. But we've made some amazing friends already who we spend almost every weekend with, and I even work with one, yay! So it's been amazing in that aspect.

I will say, though, that I don't like how early everything closes and that there aren't any 24-hour stores, and that the roads are so tiny, but we're getting used to it and know how to work around it/with it now.

Where have we been/What have we done?

One of my most asked questions has been, "Have you been to London yet?" and unfortunately, the answer is no. Other than when we landed, we have not gone back to London, although I am DYING to! It's tough now with my job (I sometimes work weekends) and with Josh's schedule (he works nights, so he's dead tired during the day time). Also, with the attacks we want to try to be as "safe" as possible when traveling, but there's no way of knowing when an attack will happen. So we will go soon! Hopefully I'll get another weekend off soon, but until then, we will just wait and see!

We have gone to Ely and Cambridge, though. I really like Cambridge. We even went punting, which I LOVED!!! Cambridge has a lot of young, stylish people in it. When we went, there was such a fun atmosphere (I mean, almost everyone was drunk - young and old alike). People were dressed really nicely (but that's almost everywhere). And that had really nice shopping areas. Soo, it was an all around win for me. I can't wait to go back.

What does the future hold?

More traveling, more vlogging, more success, more good things. I'm working on myself, and I'd like to share that with you. Lately I've had moments of high stress (which I'm not used to, I don't get stressed very easily), and this year has had really high highs and really low lows, so I intend to make the best of these last few months. My goal is to do a better job of sharing it all with you... highs, lows, and boring moments (not TOO boring though). So stick around for more. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you all!

***I just had a light bulb moment.... I can't believe I'm living in Europe... I also can't believe I have 2,000 people subscribed to my YouTube channel and that my videos get thousands of views. I feel extremely blessed to be here and to have gone through some of the tough moments that I've been through so that I can share them with you, help other people through it, and look back on these times for myself. So I GENUINELY thank everyone that's reading this or that supports me in any way. Thanks soooo much!***
